Hyderabad: Explosive device near railway track defused
HYDERABAD: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found by the local people who immediately reported to the police on Sunday, SHO Makki Shah police station, Javed Shaikh said.

The police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) immediately reached the spot and defused the device which was connected to a battery and wires.

BDS in-charge Saleem Vistro said that the explosive material weighed around 3 kilogrammes.

The police have registered a FIR against unknown miscreants for planting a 3kg IED near the railway track in Makrani Parah here.

The situation caused a disruption in the railway traffic as Karachi-bound Zakaria Express was stopped at the Hyderabad railway station while some other trains were stopped at the Kotri railway station for some two hours.

The SHO said the police conducted raids in the Makrani Parah and the other surrounding areas but no suspect was arrested. (APP)
