Funeral prayers of MQM MPA Sajid Qureshi, son held in Karachi

KARACHI: The funeral prayers of MQM MPA, Sajid Qureshi and his son were held at the Jinnah Ground here on Saturday. The MPA and his son were laid to rest at the Yaseenabad graveyard.

Qureshi and his son were gunned down in the North Nazimabad area of the city on Friday. Armed men opened fire on Qureshi’s cars when he was returning home after Friday prayers with his son.

Following the killing, the MQM announced three day mourning across Sindh as business activities and transport came to a standstill.

Sajid Qureshi was elected to the Sindh Assembly from Ps-103.
