Aspas, 25, who scored 12 goals for Celta last season as they successfully avoided relegation, has passed a medical and signed for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of 7.7 million pounds (nine million euros, $12 million).
He becomes Liverpool's third close season signing after Manchester City defender Kolo Toure and Luis Alberto from Sevilla. (AFP)
