ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry has taken a suo moto notice of the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) corruption scandal.
The apex court will begin hearing the case on July 1 and notices in this regard have been issued to the Attorney General and Secretary Minister of Human Resource Development.
Notices have also been sent out to DG FIA and the Chairman and former Chairman of EOBI.
EOBI employees haved alleged that shady deals amounting to around Rs30 billion took place during the tenure of former Chairman Zafar Iqbal Gondal.
