JOHOR BAHRU Malaysia: The match between Pakistan and England ended in a draw after a tough competition in the International Hockey Federation (FIH) World Hockey League semi-finals played here on Sunday.
Both teams played aggressively in the first half. England’s Oliver Willer in 13th minute scored the first goal of the match which was leveled by Pakistan captain Mohammad Imran scoring from a penalty corner. Later Adam Dixon made a goal to put England again into lead in the final moments of the first half.
However Pakistan began the second half with more aggression which put England under pressure. Pakistan with successive counter attacks succeeded in getting a penalty corner which was converted into goal by Abdul Haseem Khan to level the score again.
Pakistan were still on second spot while England stand on third at the points table in pool B.
Pakistan will now face South Africa in their last group match on July 1.
