Seven die near Sehwan due to extreme heat, suffocation
SEHWAN: At least seven people, tracking hilly area to go from Sehwan to Lahot-la-Makan died due to extreme heat and use of contaminated water, said rescue sources here Sunday.

They said a group of devotees of Lahot-la-Makan shrine were going there on foot when seven of them died of extreme heat and lack of clean drinking water near Village Nehang Sharif in the limits of Jhangara police station.

Three of them were identified as Shaif Muhammad of Jam Nawaz Ali, Ghulam Hussain of Jamshoro and Niaz Tunio of Larkana. Their bodies were shifted to Taluka Hospital Sehwan.

Medical Superintendent of Taluka Hospital Sehwan Dr Nazeer Ahmed Soomro said the victims died due to exposure in extreme heat, use of contaminated water and suffocation.

However, the identity of the remaining three victims could not be known. Rescue sources said villagers buried them at the graveyard of Jagan Jabal.
