Police arrest 34 suspects during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Sunday arrested around 34 suspects from various areas of the city during a search operation, said a spokesman of police here.

Islamabad police during general holdup also nabbed around 27 vehicles, 222 motorcycles whose owners failed to produce documents.

Tinted glasses of 67 napped vehicles were also removed by the police. According to the details SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq directed all zonal officers, SDPOs and SHOs to keep vigilant eye on the mischievous elements and tightened security at all check posts and
enhance patrolling and security measures in different areas of the city.

The aim of the general holdup was to maintain law and order situation in the capital and to curb the criminals' activities.

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated the performance of police officers.

The SSP also directed police officials to further enhance security in their respective areas so that the miscreants and mischievous elements could not succeed in their nefarious deigns. (APP)
