KARACHI: Two more dengue viral fever cases were detected in Karachi on Friday increasing the number of confirmed cases in the city to 407 this year, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick, Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh, said that 418 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province this year, out of them 407 were reported in Karachi, while 11 in rest of province. He said three dengue patients have so far in Karachi this year.
Mullick said that four dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the city and two new cases have been reported in Karachi on July 12.However, six patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment.(PPI)
