ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered freezing of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Islamabad and Rawalpindi accounts in EOBI scam case.
The apex court said in its orders that the accounts would remain frozen until the DHA submits Rs 22 billion to its Registrar Office.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, while hearing a suo moto case pertaining to the corruption scandal of the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institute (EOBI) had directed the DHA on Wednesday to submit the amount.
The SC had ordered DHA to deposit Rs22 billion within 48 hours with its Registrar’s office or face freezing of all its accounts
