Shia leader, son killed in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Divisional President of the Shia Ulema Council, Manzoor Hussain and his son Haider Ali were killed during a firing incident here on Friday.

The attackers targeted Manzoor Hussain and his son outside their residence in Abbasia Town. The two were injured in the attack and lost their lives on the way to the hospital.

A large number of representatives from the Shia Ulema Council gathered at the hospital after receiving news of the attack. After the incident unknown persons caused damage to property in several areas of the city.
A local Ramazan market was also attacked and the unknown persons set fire to several stalls.

Shops and petrol stations were shut in the city and security has been enhanced.
