Strong Australia squad for Brazil clash

SYDNEY: Australia will take a strong squad to Brazil for a friendly next month with coach Holger Osieck saying Wednesday he was keen to see how they compared to such a quality team.

Along with high-profile regulars such as Mark Schwarzer, Tim Cahill and Lucas Neill, Osieck included striker Mitchell Duke who impressed on his debut at the recent East Asian Cup tournament in South Korea.

Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams also returns after missing the Asian qualifying matches in June when Australia clinched their spot at next year's World Cup.

The clash in Brasilia on September 7 will be the seventh match between the Socceroos and Brazil, and the first since the Brazil's 2-0 victory in the group phase of the 2006 World Cup.
