RAWALPINDI: After over five years, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to become party in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
PPP Secretary General, Sardar Latif Khosa has filed a request with the special court to provide documents pertaining to past proceedings in the murder case of the former prime minister. The request also states that the PPP has a right to become a party in the murder case of its martyred leader.
An anti-terrorism court, has indicted former president, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and six others in the case.
The former prime minister was killed during a gun and bomb attack after an election rally in Rawalpindi in December 2007. The government of Pervez Musharraf had blamed her assassination on the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
