Father kills two children in Karachi

KARACHI: A father killed his two children in cold blood due to poverty in Garden area of the city on late Saturday night.

The accused climbed up the roof of his house to commit suicide. However,police arrested him with the help of neighbors.

Talking to a Geo News reporter at the lockup, Munaf admitted to double murder, saying that he was regretful to have committed the crime. He said that he took the extreme step due to poverty.

To a question he said he worked as a movie-maker in wedding and other ceremonies and owed loan up to 250,000. Police have registered a case against the accused.

Bodies of the children were taken to a hospital for postmortem examination.
