Police had kept accused involved in looting passenger buses at a private detention facility instead of official lockup.
According to reports, the robbers were arrested 15 days ago in Taranda Muhammad Panah area.
They were detained at a private residence of Sub-Inspector Allah Baksh and only three constables were deployed there.
The robbers fled after took away arms and uniforms of the policemen.
