According to the sources, the paramedical staff of DHQ Hospital protested against the non-payment of salaries and observed a strike to register their protest.
While protesting, they allegedly attacked the accountant of the hospital and when the medical superintendent and others tried to rescue the man, the staff members subjected them to torture as well, sources informed.
