ISLAMABAD: The federal government has withdrawn the transfer notification of Secretary Civil Aviation, Muhammad Ali Gardezi.
A three member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry heard the case pertaining to the transfer of Secretary Civil Aviation.
Attorney General, Munir A Malik submitted the written reply in court which said that the prime minister believed in transparency. The statement added that the secretary was not transferred because he referred the matter of the delay in the construction of Islamabad airport to the FIA.
The decision to transfer Gardezi which was taken on September 10 was cancelled while additional charge of Secretary Civil Aviation was also taken back from Nargis Sethi.
