PARIS: France, Britain and the United States want a "strong and binding" UN resolution on the handover of Syria's chemical weapons under international control, the French presidency said on Monday.

French President Francois Hollande, US Secretary of State John Kerry and British Foreign Secretary William Hague agreed at talks here that there had to be a "precise timetable" for the dismantling of weapons, a statement said.
