QUETTA: At least five security men were injured when a blast occurred near their convoy while passing through Sibi on Friday, Geo News reported.
According to police, a bomb possibly an improvised explosive device (IED) blasted near a security forces’ convoy in Sibi that wounded five security personnel.
The sources further told that the commandant of Sibi Security Scouts was also injured in the attack while a security vehicle was also damaged in the explosion.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and kicked off efforts to transfer the injured to the hospital while the area was also cordoned off.
Security forces have launched a search operation in the area.
