Gang using Facebook for kidnapping arrested in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Police on Saturday busted and later arrested a gang involved in kidnapping several boys in Gujranwala, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, police arrested a gang of kidnappers today who were using the social networking website Facebook as a tool to lure boys and later to kidnap them.

The gang comprised of a woman, her husband and three other accomplices. The woman had a Facebook account which was used to coax the boys. The woman would later make a phone call to the boys who were called to an unknown location followed by their kidnapping.

Police told that the arrested accused included lawyers, policeman and the son of an SHO.

The woman, while speaking to Geo News, said that she had only made one phone call and was unaware of the events occurred later.

Police said that strict action will be taken against the gang and further details will be made public after the suspects are interrogated.
