PESHAWAR: Passing a derogatory remark against the Pakistan government, the former interior minister, Rehman Malik Monday said the attack on a Church in Peshawar is the ‘gift’ for releasing Taliban leader Mullah Baradar.
Talking to media persons here, Malik said the time has come to fight Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).
He said Government-Taliban dialogue is being undermined and the country’s name being smeared under a conspiracy.
Earlier, the former interior minister headed to the Lady Reading Hospital with the intention to visit the Church attack victims. But, there he found himself picketed by irate protesters and in order to avoid trouble he had to run. The protesters also ran after him. However, he managed to save himself by taking shelter in the office of the Chief Executive.
