Govt flayed for raising oil, power prices
KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh Amir Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui on Tuesday flayed the present government for once again raising prices of petrol and electricity, and termed the act as cruel and anti-people.

In a statement, Siddiqui said that the five-time raise in petrol prices within four months showed that the government had no interest in resolving people’s problems. The government has also not a policy to resolve the public problems, he said.

Siddiqui said that the latest rise in petrol prices was unjustified and tantamount to commit economic murder of people. "It is difficult to understand the rise in petrol prices despite decline in the oil prices in international market," he questioned. (PPI)
