Rangers seize liquor near Wagah border

LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers Punjab foiled the bid to smuggle huge quantity of Indian liquor through Wagah sector on Tuesday early morning.

According to a spokesman of the force, Rangers received information
that smugglers were busy along Wagah border.

Troops were deployed to watch out any criminal activity in the suspected area.

The Rangers personnel saw some persons who were trying to hide in the dark, when they were asked to identify they opened fire at the paramilitary troops.

Rangers effectively retaliated and the criminals had to flee from the area, leaving 96 bottles of Indian liquor behind, the spokesman added. (APP)
