QUETTA: At least seven people including children have been killed and 35 injured in a blast in the Liaqat Bazaar area of the city on Thursday.
According to reports, the blast took place near the City police station located in the area. The windows of nearby buildings and vehicles parked in the area were damaged in the explosion.
The bomb disposal squad said six kilograms of explosives were used in the bomb which was planted on a motorcycle.
Security forces have reached the site of the explosion and cordoned off the area.
This was the third explosion in Pakistan on Thursday. Earlier one person was killed in an explosion in the Old Anarkali area of Lahore, while three security personnel were injured in an explosion on Ring Road in Peshawar.
