Karachi divided into six districts; notification issued

KARACHI: The metropolitan city has been divided into six districts, according to notification issued here on Tuesday.

The notification issued by Board of Revenue stated that Korangi has been made a new district, increasing the numbers to six.

Karachi was consisted of five districts which included South, West, East, Central, Malir and now Korangi district has been added to it.

Prior to the notification, the Korangi area was a part of the East district.

The notification said that Shah Faisal Colony, Model Colony, Korangi and Landhi areas would fall in the limits of Korangi district.
