Rawalpindi incident culprits to be brought to justice at all costs: Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD: The provincial government has formed a fact finding committee to investigate the Rawalpindi incident and interrogate junior to senior level police officials in this regard, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Monday.

Those found involved in negligence will be given punishment as per rules, Minister said while addressing a news conference here.

The provincial government has also formed a three-member committee to examine losses of properties in Friday’s violence in Rawalpindi adding the body would report to chief Minister in 24 hours.

In the light of committee recommendation and facts fining, the affected citizens and traders would be given compensation by the government, the minister said.

Deploring the loss of precious lives in the incident‚ the provincial minister said the death toll has risen to ten with the expiry of one injured on Monday in the hospital. Fifty-six others were injured.

Those found involved in negligence will be given punishment as per rules.

Appreciating the responsible role of media‚ the provincial minister said all the facts regarding Rawalpindi incident will be made public and the culprits will be brought to justice at all costs.
