Swabi Inter District Hockey Championship from January 5

SWABI: Swabi Inter District Hockey Championship will be commencing from January 5 2013 here at the Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Sports Complex.
This was stated by President Hassan Bacha while talking to APP here on Tuesday.

He said all the registered clubs with District Hockey Association Swabi will be eligible to take part in the Championship.

He said out of the Championship a team will be selected to represent District Swabi in the forthcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter District Hockey Championship to be played from January 15 2013.

Hassan Bacha lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Hockey Federation for holding transparent scrutiny of the clubs followed by conducting free and fair election.

He advised those clubs in the opposition to come and joint hand for the promotion of hockey in the province.

Hassan Bacha termed competitive exposure vital for the promotion of hockey for this purpose he requested the office bearers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association to hold tournaments at district and provincial levels.

He also congratulated Muhammad Saeed Khan Captain (Retd) Saeed Khan and Syed Zahir Shah for their election as Chairman President and Secretary General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association respectively. (APP)
