ISLAMABAD: The special court formed to hear the treason trial of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has summoned him on December 24.
The government had formed a special court to hear Musharraf's high treason trial under Article 6 of Constitution.
The three-member bench, which will be headed by Sindh High Court's Justice Faisal Arab also includes Balochistan High Court's Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar and Lahore High Court's Justice Yawar Ali.
The first meeting of the special court was held here on Friday. The complaint of interior ministry was reviewed in the meeting, said Registrar special court.
The registrar also confirmed that the court has summoned Musharraf on December 24.
The former president seized power in a coup in 1999 and ruled for almost a decade until he was forced to step down in 2008.
