ISLAMABAD: Six people were killed in a roadside accident near Islamabad toll Plaza, Motorway officials said on Sunday.
The officials said that a passenger bus, which was coming from Multan, collided with a trailer truck near Islamabad toll plaza at 07:00 AM.
The collision led to the death of six people on the spot while it left 25 more injured.
The officials added that all the dead bodies and injured were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
According to Motorway officials, it was bus driver's negligence that led to the accident.
"The tragedy came to pass after the driver fell asleep while driving", said they.
As per details, two male, two female passengers, the bus hostess, and the bus guard were among the dead.
Rescue 1122, Motorway police and Edhi volunteers soon after receiving the information of the accident reached the scene.
Authorities declared emergency in PIMS hospital.
The PIMS spokesperson, Dr Ayesha, said that three of the injured including a child were in critical condition.
