Zardari to appear before accountability court on Jan 09

ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari will appear before Accountability Court on January 09, Geo News reported.

Sources said the former president will defend allegations leveled against him.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the case.

It is expected that the former president will be indicted in Polo Ground Reference.

The accountability court had reopened references against former President Asif Ali Zardari.

The references against Zardari were deferred as he enjoyed immunity during his tenure as the President of Pakistan.

The court had earlier released several of the co-accused in the references against Asif Ali Zardari.
