Ed Sheeran's tour 'cancelled' amid massive public backlash

Ed Sheeran's The Loop Tour has encountered a new unfortunate event after the opening acts, and the singer's band withdrawing.

The Shape of You hitmaker has to cancel his shows at Robert Kraft’s Gillette Stadium due to unfavourable weather.

The cancellation comes amid a massive fallout from fans and critics alike who are calling Sheeran out for his recent comments on politics. 

The cancellation news sparked a mixed reaction among social media users, many of whom expressed disappointment over not being able to attend, while others speculated that the shows have been put off due to the backlash.

Flocking to the comments, someone wrote, "the bad weather being refunds and public backlash," and "Oh my god so the whole controversy was for nothing? Kraft cost him half his fanbase for nothing? That is absolutely tragic. Kraft owes him soooooo much for this."

A third chimed in, "mother nature standing in the right side of history iktr" and another wrote, "siri play empty stadium by tinashe."

More critics added, "The bad weather being low ticket sales because everybody now knows that you support genocide," as well as "karma doesn't play around."
