RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Army chief, General Raheel Sharif paid tribute to Aitzaz Hasan, the teenage student who sacrificed his life in stopping a suicide bomber outside his school in Hangu.
In a statement released by ISPR, General Sharif said Aitzaz was a national hero who sacrificed his today for our tomorrow. He added that the student was a great example of bravery and valour.
A floral wreath was also laid on the grave of Aitzaz Hasan on behalf of the Army chief.
Aitzaz a student of class IX sacrificed his life on January 6 when he prevented a suicide bomber from entering the premises of his school during the morning assembly. Aitzaz’s brave act resulted in the lives of several students being saved.
