SHARJAH: Sri Lanka reached 64-1 at lunch on the first day of the 3rd and final Test against Pakistan at Sharjah.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Sri Lanka got off to a steady start with both the openers playing confidently.

With little support off the pitch the Pakistan seamers hardly found any swing or seam but did bowl good lines.

The only wicket to fall in the session was JK Silva who was caught behind of Mohammad Talha for a patient 17.

At the break FDM Karunaratne (34) and Sangakarra (12) were at the crease.
