QUETTA: Police on Tuesday clashed with alleged kidnappers, killing three of them while two cops and a bystander sustained injuries in the exchange of fire here in Sariab road area.
Quetta police chief, Abdul Razaq Cheema said the police force conducted a raid at a house located in the area after receiving information of the presence of kidnappers. Upon reaching the house, the police were met with firing and hand grenade attacks in which an ASI, policeman and bystander were injured. Three alleged kidnappers were killed in retaliatory fire.
Following the clash, police searched the house and recovered a kidnapped individual in injured condition who was identified as Mukesh Kumar a trader by profession. Kumar had been kidnapped from the Sariab area of the city and was shifted to the CMH hospital for treatment.
