Musharraf unlikely to appear in court on Feb 7: APML leader
ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Dr Amjad said doctors will decide if former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf appears in court on February 7th.

During a news conference in Islamabad, Dr Amjad said Musharraf was not well and it was unlikely that he would be appearing in court. He added that they had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court to avoid confrontation with the judiciary.

Dr Amjad further said there were only three or four neutral judges in the judiciary and he had great expectations from the institution. The APML leader told reporters that Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat had all received medical treatment in foreign countries. “Every person has the freedom to choose if they want to be treated abroad.”

Dr Amjad announced that the APML would start its protest movement on February 07 which will be launched in ten cities during the first phase.

The special court constituted to hear the treason case issued a bailable warrant for the former president and ordered him to appear on February 07. In its verdict over Musharraf’s medical report, the court ruled there was no reason for the former president to not appear.
