PESHAWAR: Pakistan Squash Federation is going to setup national squash camp for the Asian Senior Squash Championship, Commonwealth Games, Junior Individual World Open, Junior World Team Championship and PSA International Tournaments here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex from Feb 7.
This was stated by former World Champion and camp commandant Qamar Zaman while talking to APP here on Thursday.
He said the aim and objective of setting camp is to bring the players back on the track of success by providing them modern day training and coaching in the two months long duration camp.
The camp comprising 10 players out of 10 six will be of senior and four of them will be of junior categories.
The senior players comprising Amir Atlas Nasir Iqbal Farhan Mehboob Mansoor Farhan Zaman and Waqas Mehmood while the junior players including Ali Bokhari Ammad Farid Tayyub Aslam and Bilal Zakir.
Besides them Nowshera Owais Khan Ismail Rauf and Zahir Shah will be part of the camp for match play. Qamar Zaman said that he had meeting with President Pakistan Squash Federation and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and Senior Vice President Air Vice Marshal Razi Nawab who discussed with him in detail the format of the camp.
He said this time the camp would be setup on modern line as services of no coach has been acquired rather trainers have been short listed for the camp.
The trainers comprising Jamshed Gul Gulap Sher Sajid Khan and Nazir Khan who played as trainers with the players in the squash court. (APP)
