MIRPUR: Yuvraj Singh struck a fine half-century under pressure to help India reach 159-7 against Australia in their World Twenty20 Group 2 game on Sunday.
The left-hander struck 60 off 43 balls and added 84 for the fifth wicket with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (24) after India was struggling at 66-4 in the 12th over.
Yuvraj struck five fours and four sixes during his eighth T20 international half-century.
In-form batsman Virat Kohli chipped in with 23 even as all six Australian bowlers bagged a wicket each.
India, batting first for the first time in the tournament after three successful chases ensured a semifinal berth for the 2007 champion, put up a fighting score despite taking 14.5 overs to reach the 100-run mark.
