KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that despite submitting an application and fees the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) had not been issued for party chief Altaf Hussain.
During a news conference held here on Tuesday, Rizvi called for an explanation as to why a NICOP was not being issued to Altaf Hussain. The MQM leader asked who else would be a Pakistani if Altaf Hussain was not a Pakistani.
Earlier, MQM parliamentarians protested in the National Assembly as Altaf Hussain was not being a passport and NICOP. The MQM MNAs later staged a walkout and held a sit-in outside the parliament.
