ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday forecast rain thunderstorm associated with gusty winds at scattered places in upper Punjab including Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
A Met Office official told APP that rain was expected in upper Punjab and at isolated places in Lahore, D G Khan and Multan divisions.
Rain thunderstorm associated with gusty winds and dust storm was also forecast at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar divisions while in isolated places of Kohat, Bannu and D I Khan divisions, he added.
Hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of Sindh province, however dust storm winds with light rain might occur in Sukkur and Larkana divisions he said.
The official said rain thunderstorm associated with gusty winds might occur at scattered places in Balochistan with isolated places of Sibbi and Makran divisions.
The highest maximum temperature recorded during the last 24 hours was 39 C in Chhor and Mithi.
