QUETTA: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said on Monday that the culture on intolerance gives rise to terrorism.
Addressing a book launching ceremony on the issue of terrorism organised by the Balochistan High Court, the CJP said that the culture of intolerance would need to be eliminated.
He added that non-state actors promoted terrorism in the country and it was these same elements which distorted Islam.
According to the CJP these elements had created a mindset which had to be changed. He added that a murder of any individual regardless of their religious beliefs was the murder of entire humanity.
The CJP further said that terrorism had existed throughout history and in every religion.
