ISLAMABAD: Citing security concerns, the government has decided to keep cell phone services suspended in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday.
The cellular phone services will remain suspended in the twin cities from 5 AM to 11 PM on Monday.
The Interior Ministry has issued orders to this effect to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The authorities have also sealed the entry and exit routes of Islamabad by placing cargo containers. The roads leading to Islamabad airport have also been blocked.
A shuttle bus will be plied every hour from Peshawar Morr to airport from 5 AM Monday.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri is all set to arrive in Islamabad Monday morning as his party workers have already started gathering in the capital city to welcome him.
