ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started a probe against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
The FIA has written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) summoning asset details of Mr. Qadri and his political party PAT.
The FIA has also sought asset details of Tahirul Qadri which he submitted to the ECP during his tenure as a parliamentarian in 2002. Mr. Qadri had been elected to the National Assembly in 2002 but vacated his seat.
According to ECP officials the asset details of Tahirul Qadri and PAT will be provided to the FIA. Asset details are not classified and any Pakistani can request the ECP to provide them.
