ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the asset record of Dr Tahirul Qadri and his party the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
According to the record, Tahirul Qadri had assets worth Rs9.9 million in 2004 with a bank balance of Rs33,000 and property worth Rs8.5 million. The ECP adds that Tahirul Qadri did not have any wealth or personal vehicle outside the country.
The record further states that the income of PAT was Rs160,000 and expenditures were over Rs200,000. In 2010 the net worth of assets owned by the PAT was Rs338,000. The Federal Investigation Agency announced on Thursday that it had launched a probe against Dr Tahirul Qadri and PAT. The FIA had written a letter to the ECP seeking asset details of Qadri and PAT.
