Two Rangers men killed in Karachi firing

KARACHI: Two Rangers personnel lost their lives when unidentified armed men opened fire on a check post here in a Landhi Town’s area on Sunday.

Unknown armed assailants started shooting on a check post near Landhi Hospital Chowrangi, killing two Rangers men stationed there.

The metropolis has witnessed similar attacks in previous weeks and months in which several policemen and Rangers personnel had lost their lives.

A targeted crackdown on criminals is also underway in the city since September last year and the law enforcement agencies have succeeded to a certain extent in restoring peace in the provincial capital.
