Javed Hashmi to lead PTI’s Azadi March
MULTAN: A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) succeeded in winning over party president Javed Hashmi who had developed difference with the leadership over Imran Khan’s 'demand' for a government of technocrats in the country.

Talking to media representatives after his meeting with a PTI delegation which called on him at his residence here, Javed Hashmi said he and Imran Khan had a half-an-hour conversation on the telephone and now their differences stand resolved.

Javed Hashmi said he was against installation of a government of technocrats and any unconstitutional move that paves way for a martial law in Pakistan.

“I would only allow a martial law over my dead body,” he told the reporters.

He said he as a president of PTI he would lead the ‘Azadi March’ as planned and called upon the government to remove all hurdles from the way. “Remove the containers and all the barricades and let the people feel free on the independence day,” he added.

Earlier, a delegation of PTI comprising MNA Dr. Arif Alvi, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Umer Dar and Aijaz Janjua arrived at Hasmi’s residence to win him over.
