ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah has stated that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) could not support the demand for resignation of the Prime Minister, Geo News reported.
In a statement, Khursheed Shah said: “I think Prime Minister will not step down.”
PTI chief Imran Khan had demanded Nawaz Sharif to resign as Prime Minister of Pakistan. He is holding Azadi March on Islamabad to press his demand.
Khan had also demanded members of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to step down.
Shah condemned the attack on Imran Khan’s convoy, saying that tradition of pelting stones at rallies should not be made. He demanded action against those involved in it.
The PPP leader also asked PML-N leadership to direct its activists to remain cautious because miscreant elements could take advantage of the situation.
