ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Wednesday that talks with the government would only be held after the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Qureshi said if negotiations are held they would be on the PTI’s six demands the first of which is the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The PTI vice chairman blamed the government and few of its representatives for the present situation, adding that they are political people and political people hold dialogue and negotiations.
Qureshi further said the PTI supported democracy and would continue to do so. He appealed to party workers to remain calm, adding that they will not storm any building as respect of institutions was the responsibility of every Pakistani.
Qureshi said massive propaganda was being carried out against the PTI and their protest was peaceful and would remain so. He added that the rights of people were being snatched and the government was not doing anything.
Commenting on the attack on his residence in Multan, Qureshi said Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should suspend the district PML-N president.
According to Qureshi PTI would not attack the house of any PML-N leader as it was a democratic party and would exercise restraint.
