Qadri backs away from Parliament siege plan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahiur Qadri backed away from his call to surround the Prime Minister House merely two hours after his announcement which he made during his speech to thousands of his followers in the capital’s Red Zone.

He asked his workers to retreat from where the Jawans (soldiers) of Pakistan Army were deployed.

Qadri demanded the resignation of Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif saying
Khawaja Saad Rafique, Abid Sher Ali, Khawaja Asif or any other PML-N leader could be appointed Prime Minister.

The PAT chief said he had never refused talks and had not been approached by anyone.

“I support negotiations but there are some procedures to enter talks,” he said adding that Nawaz Sharif was political scion of former military dictator Gen Ziaul Haq.
