ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said the government was ready to remove containers if Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri take responsibility in case of any untoward incident as the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has expressed fear of a militant attack through an explosive laden vehicle.
Addressing a press conference, Nisar said ISI had warned that militants might enter through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the next 24 to 48 hours were significant with regard to talks between the government and protesting parties.
The minister came down heavily on Imran Khan for what he said was use of foul language and his stubbornness. He ruled out any impression that the government was stopping PTI and PAT workers from joining the sit-ins.
He said that containers were placed for security reasons, adding that law of the land permitted self defence if anybody's house was attacked.
Nisar Ali Khan said that Imran Khan gave wrong meaning to his statement about magnetic ink."It doesn't mean the vote is fake, if ink could not be verified," he said adding that this ink was not used in any other country.
"Those who used the ink should be held accountable; we have nothing to do with it."
