QUETTA: Three people including the Bureau Chief and reporter of a news agency were killed in Quetta on Thursday.
According to sources, the incident took place at the news agency’s office located on Jinnah road. The assailants barged in, opened fire and then escaped unhindered.
The bureau chief Irshad Ahmed Mastoi, reporter Ghullam Rasool and accountant Mohammed Younus were injured. They were rushed to the hospital however they succumbed to their injuried enroute.
The bodies of the deceased were later shifted to the Civil Hospital. Arshad Mastoi was also the general secretary of the Balochsitan Union of Journalists (BUJ).
While the police has already begun investigations, Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Malik Baloch condemned the incident and instructed the IG Police, Balochistan to submit an urgent report and to arrest those responsible.
