LAHORE: The season opening event of Pakistan’s domestic cricket, the Haier Cup National Regional Twenty 20 2014-15, has been relocated from Multan to Karachi due to recent spell of torrential rains and flooding in northern central and southern Punjab.
Instead of September 15 the event will now commence from September 17 said a spokesman of Pakistan Cricket Board here on Tuesday.
Apart from rains and subsequent flooding the Police and District Administration had informed the PCB that owing to their engagement in flood relief duties it was difficult for them to provide foolproof security to the event he added. (APP)
